Amy: A Noom Story Written in 3rd Person
Oh and if you’re wondering how she spent her new found energy from all the green foods and walks she loved? Well, she built her own business as a freelance artist from home offering her services to the world as a web designer, video editor, life coach, and blogger all on a pick your price model. Ready for more? She read more books in five months than she has in the past five years. She began learning piano and bought a plant. She auditioned for a show half way around the world and she made some blooper reels. She designed three websites including her businesses and two theatre colleagues. She volunteered her video editing skills to a theatre company to enable them to potentially offer a pay per view option down the line. And she keeps going. She keeps trying. Even though she doesn’t know what tomorrow looks like. Even though she doesn’t know how this pandemic will pass. Or when the next time will be she is able to be in a theatre or at a concert or behind the scenes. She doesn’t know a lot of things and that used to be very difficult for her. But now? Well, Amy knows that all of her life is a journey, a process, and, thankfully, this journey doesn’t have a final exam or final destination where she can reach peak awesomeness. So instead she keeps on climbing doing the next best thing she can do. And boy oh boy I love her for that.

Plans to reform the American education system aside, if you have never tried it, or even if you have tried it, or even if you think you can just talk it out with yourself or your friends or your family - just - try. Why not try? What's the harm in trying to care for yourself in this way? Seriously. Having an objective voice that knows the deepest depths of your soul (especially as you actually grow to be vulnerable with them) is extremely helpful. Because they have no agenda. They have no birthday party they want you to go to or nephew they want you to date or parasitic abusive relationship they want you to fill. They are literally 1000% there to help you. That's all.
And if you have health insurance? You might get a session for FREE! Or at least the price of your co-pay. And if you don't have insurance - consider applying at Healthcare.gov because, seriously friends, if you have enough money to eat out on a weekly basis, you have enough money to love yourself enough to get yourself health insurance. And it's not like you can't cancel your insurance if you truly become homeless and helpless and can't afford it - but, even if you have zero income, you might qualify for health insurance you don't even have to pay for. So GET IT TOGETHER. Get your health insurance. Get your counseling. And get better help.
Speaking of better help. If you're not sure where to begin when looking for a counselor, consider that there is an organization dedicated to offering you virtual counseling in the midst of a global pandemic: BetterHelp. Or Google your cities name and free counseling because some graduate schools offer reduced price or free counseling especially now. I love you all and I wish the best for you. End of rant.

Another step on the way to abundance is through manifestation. Manifestation is "the act, process, or an instance of manifesting," which really means making something spiritual (or an idea) real. So, for example, thinking about Oreos all day until they magically appear in front of you. Now, maybe they won't materialize out of thin air. Maybe you bought them or maybe your partner brought some home because they saw them at the store and thought of you. Coincidence? Manifestation? However you wanna spell it, you got your Oreos.
Another way to get what you want is by letting it go into the universe. To actually do the opposite of think of it all day. Instead, to claim it either by writing or speaking it out loud and then to try and do the whole "Jesus take the wheel" thing where you say "okay, universe, I know you got this so I'mma let you take care of that." And then you wait. It sounds a little painstaking don't you think? Well, it might not be for everyone, but it is an option!
So what can I do? Well, I can claim I will be paid. I can tell you what I am going to do with the funds once I have them. I can visualize. I can make dream boards. I can write and say positive affirmations like "Money comes easily and freely to me from anywhere and everywhere." I can light a stress relief candle and I can stop and take ten deep breaths. I can do some sun salutations or maybe lay in child's pose for a while. I can go for a walk and appreciate the fact that I am breathing without an oxygen tank.
