1. Birthday Adventures
So, first I ordered some delicious goodies from a local bakery and then found out they have been so overwhelmed with support that they have no idea when that order will be done and it will be shipped to me. The cool part about that is that one day randomly a magical box of vegan treats will arrive as a gift from my past self, so . . . go me!
So, instead, my best friend picked up some incredible vegan pop-tarts from a local bakery and brought them to my other very close friend's house where we had a private pool party with masks on, 6 feet a part. It was incredible, lots of fun, and amazing to see all of them and be with them. I was a bit tired and my body was very overwhelmed by all the stimuli and pool adventures, but (!) all in all a wonderful experience. I am so happy to have spent that time with them and am so grateful to have them in my life.
I love birthdays. Especially my birthday. I am a Leo after all and - sorry mom - but it is all about me. So I love having one day where, for some reason, society accepts that the world revolves around me for one day. I sincerely appreciate that. It was a lovely day and I have more love on its way from my family too. And one day I will get my unlimited resource Harry Potter themed party. And that's okay. Because that's something to look forward to and love with every beat of my heart.
So thank you universe for another year, another month, another week, another day, another hour, another minute, another second. I am so lucky to have all that I have, to do all that I do, and to be all that I am. I am loved. I am enough. I am here. I am so grateful and I look forward to a new year filled with love, life, laughter, peace, and so much joy.
2. Adventures of the Self-Employed and Well Supported
The only downside for me as a recovering work-a-holic is that it isn't a 24/7 job so I do have to find things to do in between and a little doubt and fear creeps in every time I am close to finishing a project and it makes me not want to finish that project because - then what am I gonna do? But the best thing I can try to do is not worry and do the next best thing I can do and know that when I finish that next best thing then the next next best thing will come. I believe the universe will support me and guide me and all I have to do is keep doing the next best thing. It is not always easy to believe this, but I am here. I am trying. And I am not alone.
