Prologue:
- Relieved
- A little sad
- A little hopeful
please fit in my car"
1. Farewell, Aragog
But this sadness or sense of loss is not just about the apartment. Today marked my final submitted assignment for Villanova: my final exam for Financial Management and my excerpt of Not I for our department's student showcase. And now I'm done. That's it. And now I feel like an embodied expression of Peggy Lee's Is That All There Is?
2. How Do You Thank Someone for Being Your Fellow Quarantine Soldier?
Thank you, Savannah, for helping me thrive in Quarantine. This could have been one of the hardest times in my life. This could have been a depression spiral into the unknown. This could have been so many terrible things. But instead, with you, it has been an adventure filled with laughter, friendship, kindness, and generosity. I am so lucky to be locked in with you! I honestly could not think of a better time in my life for this lockdown to occur. I do not think I would have survived or stayed sane in any other scenario and I feel so lucky to have had you to be social with during 'social-distancing'. And, as you so wonderfully noted, “There are some things you can't share without ending up liking each other, and" quarantine "is one of them.”
Tomorrow, Savannah and I will embark on a 6-8 hour car ride (in separate cars) to North Carolina. Please send us safe and speedy travels, and phone calls! Please call me and keep me awake while driving! We never got to record our homemade production of Waiting for Godot with our fake Christmas Tree, but, maybe one day.
