"Sometimes I wish my life was like a photograph
Double tap the good ones and just Photoshop the bad
Put them in my wallet, in my pocket, if I need 'em then I got 'em
But life don't work like that
Sometimes I feel like I'm in Nike's on a track
Even when my feet are up my mind is runnin' fast
When I'm home I get impatient, when I'm gone I kind of hate it
'Cause my life works like that
Sunsets and open water
Skies full of technicolor
Beauty right in front of you
There's so much to discover if you
Stop
Breathe it in for the moment
Stop
Give it a minute and you'll own it
Stop
Only just begun
Soon it'll be almost over so just
Stop
See what comes into focus
Stop
Kind of crazy what you'll notice
Stop
Like a setting sun
Soon it'll be almost over
Stop
Stop
Stop
Soon it'll be almost over
It's like I'm looking through the window of a train
But my visions blurry so it all just looks the same
All the people and the places all the voices and the faces
They all just stare right back
Long talks and cups of coffee
Waking up and saying sorry
Love is right in front of you
We can finally see each other if we
Stop
Breathe it in for the moment
Stop
Give it a minute and you'll own it
Stop
Only just begun
Soon it'll be almost over so just
Stop
See what comes into focus
Stop
Kind of crazy what you'll notice
Stop
Like a setting sun
Soon it'll be almost over
Stop (oh, yea)
Stop (oh just stop)
Stop
Soon it'll be almost over
When you love somebody
(La lalala)
When the moment hits
(La lalala)
When the music's playing
(Lalala)
And it goes like this
(La lalalalala lalalalalalalalala)
When you love somebody
When the moment hits
(La lalalalala lalalalalalalalala)
When the music's playin'
And it goes like this
(La lalalalala lalalalalalalalalala)
Listen to the music, yea
Oh it's playin' in your ears
(La lalalalala lalalalalalalalalala)
Oh playin' in your ears, if you
Stop
Breathe it in for the moment
Just stop
Give it a minute and you'll own it
Stop
Only just begun
Soon it'll be almost over (soon it'll be almost over)
So just stop
See what comes into focus
Stop
Kind of crazy what you'll notice (it's kinda crazy what you'll notice)
Stop
Like a setting sun
Soon it'll be almost over (soon it'll be over)
Stop
Stop (soon it'll be over, yea)
(La lalalalala lalalalalalalalalala)
Stop
Soon it'll be almost over (soon it'll be almost)
(La lalalalala lalalalalalalalalala)
(La lalalalala lalalalalalalalalala)
Soon it'll be almost over so just stop"
Maybe
Maybe this is happening for a reason
Maybe something better is on the way
Maybe you don't know everything
Maybe you can't know everything
Maybe you can't control everything
Maybe you shouldn't be able to control everything - how boring would life be then?
No matter what happens
No matter the outcome
No matter the result
Pass or fail
Sink or sail
You can always try again
And if you aren't the one to win
It will not be because of your talent
or ability
or worth
or value
You are safe
You are enough
You are capable
And guess what?
You can try again
You don't need this now
You can
You will
You can get there
You will get there
Breathe
Go slow
"Easy, baby"
You don't know the full context
You don't know everything
You can't know everything
You probably shouldn't know everything - how boring would that be?!
You can't pour your heart into an invisible cup
You can't pour from an empty cup
You can pour your heart
You have
You do
You will
But remember to hold on to a little piece of your heart for you
Because if anyone deserves such love
It's you
Because you deserve as much as you give
Because you need and deserve more time
Because you deserve big sappy romantic gestures
Because you deserve cliché
Because you deserve Sunflowers every Sunday
Because you are worth more
Because you are more than enough
Because no matter what happens
This does not determine your worth
Or value
Or purpose
Or whether or not something is 'meant to be'
You are good enough
You are capable
You are worthy of so much more than you think
You are capable of so much more than you think
Believe
Believe
Believe
Today I am grateful for:

- How I can't know, but I want to try, so I will
- My persistence
- My ability to stand up for myself and my needs
- How all the work I have done has led me to this moment
- How the only one putting pressure on me is me and thus I can create the release

- My grandmother's love for I Love Lucy and Shirley Temple
- That time my grandmother chased a mouse out of the kitchen while I screamed standing on top of a wooden kitchen chair and she probably realized then and there how much of a city girl I really am
- The sound of refrigerator doors sealed opening and closing
- The sound of the cash register we probably purchased at Sam's or Costco or maybe it was a Kmart blue light special
- The smell of popcorn, of kettle corn, of roasted corn, of corn in a cup with sour cream, or Bertie Bott's every flavor beans

- Doritos and hot dogs by the pool
- Barbecue every summer on the back porch
- That time I was sunburnt so bad they had to cut off my shirt. And it was more traumatizing because it was my favorite shirt - a tank top with a tiny rainbow patch on the chest. Like I was rainbow bright. Like I was the light. And it felt like it was all taken away that night. But I was a lobster so I could remove my shell. I was a crab so I didn't take it very well. I was an oyster but the pearl got lost inside. And underneath all that aloe vera there was nowhere to hide.
- The closet I ran to when I was scared, that I napped in, that I slept in
- The stuffed animals that littered my bed
- My giant Winnie the Pooh
- How much my mom and grandmother loved raggedy ann and those handmade dolls with a sock for a face, buttons for eyes, and those big straw hats? Remember those? And how much someone must of thought I would love a life-sized girl bunny rabbit that stands up in my room like another human being. And the time I finally danced with that rabbit, swinging her in a circle and singing, and a lizard flew off her shoulder and I lost my mind.
- How much I would sing when I was home alone, creating songs, pretending I was Shania Twain, trying my mom's sun skirts on as strapless dresses, using my crayons to make artistic messes
- That time I cut my own hair and was so proud
- Limewire
- Bear Share
- My walkman that I took everywhere
- My CDs were my armor
- My backpack was my shield
- That time that kid finally got in trouble for stealing my shoe and throwing it far out onto the black asphalt during the day in summer time so that I would have to limp out to it because the tar was so hot
